Cultural bridges from one shore to the other
In 2022, this citizen-based co-creation program Cultural bridges from one shore to the other allowed DynamO Théâtre to bring together teenagers and seniors from the city of Laval with the company’s professional performers.
For about ten hours, we explored the themes of time, space and dimensions, always putting sharing and exchange at the heart of our work.
To an original music composed by Claude Lamothe, the creators developed short sequences combining text and movement, guided by Yves Simard and Andréanne Joubert.
Cré’ados
For DynamO Théâtre, Parcours Cré'ados is the continuation of a reflection on the aesthetics of participation and co-creation initiated with The Nonexistent, followed by Cultural Bridges, From One Shore to the Other.
Our residency at Parcours Cré'Ados provided the creative team with the opportunity to develop and refine the work started in research, and to gear it towards writing for a teenage audience. To do this, we worked with a high school class. We created a twinning experience with various artists involved in the project. During the residency, one group worked closely with the directors (Yves Simard and Andréanne Joubert), while another worked with the performers.
Over the course of several weeks, students, teachers and professional artists formed a unified group, living out a creative frenzy at the same pace. The residency concluded during the Rencontre Théâtre Ados with the presentation of a laboratory resulting from our work .
